LATAM Airlines has announced an increase in cargo capacity for the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. The cargo subsidiary of the group in Brazil will inaugurate a new weekly flight that will connect São Paulo (GRU), Recife (REC), and Manaus (MAO).

The new domestic route of LATAM Cargo Brazil will commence on May 9th and will be operated with Boeing 767-300F aircraft. With the addition of this new flight, LATAM will increase its cargo capacity in the capital of the state of Pernambuco by 62.5% compared to this April.

Ana Caroline Costa, Commercial Strategy Manager of LATAM Cargo Brazil, stated: “LATAM Cargo’s investments in the North and Northeast regions reinforce the strategic importance of air cargo transportation for Brazil’s development.”

“This way, we support entrepreneurs and the supply chain in these regions, offering the safest and fastest logistics solution to bring opportunities closer to our clients,” she added.

LATAM Cargo operates from Recife an international flight to Mexico City (MEX), as well as placing cargo in the cargo holds of passenger commercial flights.

The expansion of LATAM Cargo’s connectivity will make the transportation of automotive parts, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, electronics, and perishable goods from São Paulo to Recife, as well as the shipment of clothing, automotive parts, and perishable goods from Recife to Manaus, more agile and dynamic.
