United Airlines inaugurated its flights to Guyana

United Airlines became the third American airline to offer services between the United States and Guyana with the start of its non-stop Houston Intercontinental-Georgetown flights.

The inaugural flight UA 437 was operated on April 1 and was carried out on a Boeing 737 MAX 8 registered as N17296. The aircraft took off from George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 16:36 local time and landed at Cheddi Jagan International Airport at 23:08, after five hours and 32 minutes.

Flight Schedule between Houston and Guyana

  • Houston – Georgetown Flight UA 437 IAH 16:20 – GEO 23:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
  • Georgetown – Houston Flight UA 438 GEO 00:40 – IAH 06:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The route is operated on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a configuration of 16 seats in Business Class, 54 Economy Plus, and 96 Economy.

United’s South American network also has services to Bogotá, Quito, Lima, São Paulo-Guarulhos, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, and Medellín, the latter starting at the end of October. According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, United operates on average 88 weekly flights per direction in South America, representing an offer of 18,892 seats.
