JetBlue is set to boost its network in the Caribbean by increasing its connectivity in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with six new services to the Caribbean, South America, Mexico and the East Coast of the United States. In addition, the Mint product will be offered on several routes to flights in Puerto Rico, Canada, Phoenix and Las Vegas.
“It’s official: JetBlue is landing in the Hudson Valley with brand new service to Puerto Rico. For years I have fought for increased service for the Westchester County airport, and this new route will help provide easy connections for tourists and for families who have loved ones on the island and help provide a key destination for new business to help our local economy soar,” said Charles Schumer, Senator from New York.
JetBlue began operations in Puerto Rico in 2002, after more than two decades of service, the airline currently employs more than 370 crewmembers throughout Puerto Rico. In addition, JetBlue also offers service from Aguadilla and Ponce, and with the recent expansion in San Juan, service will be provided to 18 different destinations from the three airports served by the airline on the Caribbean island. The airline will have about 40 daily flights from San Juan this winter season, more than any other airline.
