Air France-KLM through its loyalty program Flying Blue and Uber implement a strategic partnership that will allow Flying Blue members to earn miles when using Uber in France and the Netherlands.
Uber will be the official travel company of Flying Blue. Members who link their accounts on the Uber app will earn 1 mile for every euro spent on Uber trips, while Uber customers who take four or more trips per month will earn 2 miles for every euro spent.
The partnership is available to local residents and tourists by simply linking their Flying Blue account to the Uber app and booking a ride in any city in France and the Netherlands.
This new partnership further extends the many benefits available to Flying Blue members, including the ability to earn and redeem miles with more than 40 airlines and over 100 business partners. Flying Blue Miles can be used to purchase alternative aviation fuel (SAF), book or upgrade flights, book a hotel room, shop at participating brands or donate to charity.
Air France-KLM is one of Europe’s largest airlines with more than 24 million Flying Blue members, who will benefit from the partnership with Uber.
“We are delighted to join forces with Uber to offer our members additional ways to earn Miles in their daily lives. At Flying Blue, our goal is to offer tangible benefits that fit the lifestyle of our 24 million members worldwide. With Uber as our exclusive ride-hailing partner, we reinforce our commitment to accompany Air France and KLM customers before, during and after they travel with us,” said Benjamin Lipsey, Senior Vice President Customer Loyalty and President of Flying Blue at Air France and KLM.
“We are delighted to be able to help our customers earn Flying Blue Miles on their trips with Uber. So whether you’re a local commuter or visiting from abroad, every trip you take with Uber is helping you get somewhere a little more exotic with Air France and KLM,” said Anabel Diaz, Vice President, Uber Mobility, EMEA.
