Air Canada expands its transatlantic offering from Montreal with new services to Italy and Portugal for the summer 2025 season. These routes have a leisure market focus, boosting travel to Europe.
Next summer, the Canadian airline has scheduled nonstop service between Montreal and Porto, complementing its existing operation to Lisbon. In 2023, Portugal welcomed around 593,000 Canadian visitors.
Air Canada will be the third airline to offer flights between Canada and Porto, other airlines providing flights on this segment include Azores Airlines from Toronto-Pearson and Air Transat from Toronto-Pearson and Montreal.

- Flight AC 882: YUL 19:00 – OPO 09:45+1 Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
- Flight AC 883: OPO 11:15 – YUL 14:35 Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
The route will be operated on Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a capacity of 169 passengers in two classes: 16 in Business Class and 153 in Economy.
Air Canada is the fourth North American airline in Naples
Air Canada is expanding its Mediterranean offering with a new non-stop route between Montreal and Naples. The airline’s offerings in Italy also include flights to Rome-Fiumicino from Montreal and Toronto, Milan-Malpensa from Montreal and Venice from Toronto and Montreal.
In recent years, Naples-Capodichino Airport has seen a boom in transatlantic flights with United service from Newark, American Airlines from Philadelphia and Delta Air Lines from New York-JFK.

The route will be operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 255 passengers in three classes: 20 Business Class, 21 Premium Economy and 214 in Economy.
