CEO in Paradise: St. Maarten Airport Launches Search for New Leadership

The Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company N.V. (PJIAE) has announced the commencement of the search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The recruitment process, being managed by BDO Dutch Caribbean, seeks a leader to guide the airport through its next phase of development.

The new CEO will be tasked with overseeing the overall management and strategic direction of the airport, ensuring economic viability, and compliance with aviation standards. Responsibilities include leading the senior management team, drafting strategic plans, and maintaining the airport’s operational safety and security.

Applicants are required to have a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with at least ten years of experience in a comparable executive role. Essential skills include proven management capabilities, in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, and strong strategic development abilities.

The position is offered on a performance-based contract of up to five years, with the possibility of renewal based on achieved performance. The application process is open until August 31, 2024, with interested candidates invited to submit their resumes and cover letters to BDO Dutch Caribbean via email.
