The Colombian cargo airline Aerosucre S.A. announced that it will begin operating regular flights to Guyana starting in the first quarter of 2025. According to local media in Guyana, these operations will connect Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) with El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, using Boeing 737 freighter aircraft.
According to the company, this new route will strengthen air cargo connectivity in Latin America, facilitating the transport of perishable products, industrial goods, and shipments related to e-commerce. Additionally, the company states that it will offer cargo consolidation services and customized solutions for local and regional businesses.
The inclusion of Guyana in Aerosucre’s network, according to the airline, will improve delivery times and open new business opportunities for exporters and importers in the region.
Aerosucre’s operations in Guyana will be supported by Air Cargo Pack (Guyana) Limited, the local representative that will manage logistics in the country.
Jhon Agudelo, CEO of Air Cargo Pack S.A., expressed that “this operation will connect key commercial routes between Guyana, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia, offering regional companies new opportunities for the efficient transport of cargo. Our commitment is to provide a smooth, safe, and reliable service, supporting local and international trade.”
As can be seen on its website, Aerosucre’s current network covers 10 cities in Colombia (Bogotá, Cali, Mitú, Leticia, Puerto Inírida, Puerto Carreño, Barranquilla, Cartagena, and San Andrés), and 9 cities abroad (Panama, San Salvador, Guatemala, Santo Domingo, Aruba, Curacao, Maracaibo, Caracas, and Quito).
