Avelo Airlines lands in a second international destination with the launch of its nonstop flights to Cancun (Mexico) twice a week: promotional fares start at $99 round trip. On November 16, the airline launched its first international service to Montego Bay, becoming the eighth U.S. airline to fly to Jamaica.
Flight XP 964 was operated on a Boeing 737-800 registered as N806VL, which departed Bradley International Airport at 6:15 a.m. local time on November 20 and landed at Cancun International Airport at 11:25 a.m., after five hours and ten minutes.
This month, Avelo has launched six new services in Hartford: Charlotte/Concord and Wilmington in North Carolina, Daytona Beach and Orlando/Lakeland in Florida, and Houston-Hobby in Texas.
Avelo is the tenth U.S. airline in Cancun, complementing services from American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Southwest, JetBlue, Frontier Airlines, Spirit, Alaska Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines.
