The aviation sector in Brazil continues to demonstrate impressive performance, achieving in October 2024 the best results in its history with 10.4 million passengers transported.

Data published by the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) reveals that both the domestic and international markets surpassed the records for all Octobers since the beginning of the historical series in 2000, as reported by our associated media outlet in Brazil, AEROIN.

In the domestic market, demand, measured in RPK (Revenue Passenger Kilometers), recorded an 11.3% growth compared to October 2023. Supply, represented by ASK (Available Seat Kilometers), increased by 9.6%.

These indices reflect the best performance recorded for the month of October in 24 years. The total number of passengers traveling within Brazil reached 8.3 million, representing a 6.5% growth compared to the same month of the previous year, highlighting the sector’s strong recovery.

The international market also showed remarkable results, with an 11.8% increase in demand and a 12.6% growth in supply compared to October 2023. The total number of passengers transported in the international segment exceeded 2.1 million, an 11.8% increase compared to the previous year.

The cargo transport segment also kept pace with the growth of the aviation sector. In the domestic market, 44.2 thousand tons were shipped in October, a 14.8% increase compared to the same month in 2023. Internationally, the cargo volume reached 82.7 thousand tons, the highest recorded for October in the historical series, with an 18.3% growth compared to the previous year.
