After the acquisition by Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines has made several adjustments to its schedule, including the cancellation of its nonstop service to Austin starting March 26, 2025. This was the only route between Hawaii and the Texas capital. Hawaii will remain connected to Texas via Dallas and Houston.
In the first half of 2021, Hawaiian began its services to Ontario, Orlando, and Austin, of which the latter two were canceled. In the case of Austin, the flight operated with a frequency of 2 to 3 weekly flights using Airbus A330-200 aircraft with 278 seats.
Hawaiian Airlines operates flights in the continental United States to Phoenix-Sky Harbor, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland, Ontario, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose (CA), Boston, Las Vegas, New York-JFK, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle-Tacoma.
The airline is also adding a second daily A330 flight on the Honolulu-Seattle route, at the same time as Alaska Airlines reduces one daily flight on that service. Hawaiian will also cancel the Kahului-San Diego route, while Alaska is adding an additional daily flight on the same service.
