JetSMART announced the launch of daily flights from Medellín to Montería and Barranquilla, starting this December 5 and 6, respectively.
Tickets are available from 56,000 Colombian pesos (USD 12.66) for Montería and 143,600 pesos (USD 32.47) for Barranquilla, including taxes and fees.
With these new routes, JetSMART reaches a total of 17 domestic routes in Colombia. These connections will also enable residents of both cities to access key international destinations such as Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, and Lima.
Connecting strategic cities like Barranquilla, an industrial hub with more than 1.33 million inhabitants, and Montería, a livestock capital with 530,000 residents, creates new opportunities for economic and tourism development. These routes will facilitate access to services, commerce, and tourism, boosting mobility in the Colombian Caribbean.
Mario García, JetSMART’s Country Manager in Colombia, highlighted that “connecting the capitals of Atlántico and Córdoba is a great achievement for our airline and reinforces our commitment to offering affordable and high-quality flights throughout the country.”
