Chile has authorized the entry of Brazilian tourists fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and LATAM will resume two important routes between the two countries.

The company has decided to expand its operation between São Paulo-Guarulhos (GRU) and Santiago de Chile (SCL), in addition to resuming its direct route between Rio de Janeiro-Galeão (GIG) and the capital city of the trans-Andean country effective next November.

As a gesture of confidence and optimism to fly abroad again, LATAM resumes the international route which is the first to be taken by the company outside Guarulhos airport and which departs from Galeão airport, completing a point-to-point that had not been carried out since April 2020.

Through our partner Aeroin, we already know that LATAM is still advising its Brazilian passengers to consult the rules and requirements of the Chilean government so that those who are fully immunized can enter the trans-Andean territory without hassle.

«With the advancement of vaccination and the relaxation of rules for travel abroad, Brazilians are increasingly confident in scheduling their trips. In addition, international flights such as Santiago-Rio de Janeiro also represent opportunities for foreigners to return to Brazil», said Diogo Elias, LATAM Brazil Sales and Marketing Director.

«We are attentive to all international reopening movements and kindly request everyone to consult the regulations of each country before traveling», concludes Diogo.

Below are the details of both operations:

For the San Pablo – Santiago de Chile route, LATAM offers 10 weekly frequencies and this is expected to increase to 18 by December this year. Operations will be carried by the company’s Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity for 170 passengers divided into 2 classes, or by the Boeing 787 model, which has a capacity for 304 passengers, also divided into 2 classes.

For the operation between Rio de Janeiro and Santiago de Chile, LATAM will have 3 flights per week starting in November operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity for 174 passengers divided into 2 classes.
