As of November 8, 2021, vaccinated international travelers, including Europeans can travel to the United States, after a long 18-month wait with travel restrictions.

Air France has noticed a significant increase in bookings on routes to New York, Miami, and Los Angeles for the year-end holiday season.

To support the reactivation of the transatlantic market, Air France will increase its capacity and frequencies during the northern winter season, expecting to return to 90% of 2019 levels.

Some of the destinations where it will boost its capacity are:

  • New York (JFK) from 3 to 5 daily flights.
  • Miami (MIA) from 7 to 12 flights per week
  • Los Angeles (LAX) from 12 to 17 flights per week
  • Seattle – Tacoma (SEA) resumes on December 6, 2021, with 3 flights per week
  • Paris (CDG) – Papeete (PPT) via Los Angeles (LAX) resumes November 11, 2021
  • A new route between Pointe-a-Pitre (PTP) to New York (JFK) with two weekly flights starting November 24, 2021.

For the 2021 winter season, Air France will serve 11 destinations in the United States – New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), Washington Dulles (IAD), Detroit (DTW), Atlanta (ATL), Chicago O’ Hare (ORD), Miami (MIA), Houston – Intercontinental (IAH), Seattle – Tacoma (SEA), San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX) – with up to 122 weekly flights.
