Vueling inaugurates 30 new routes from Paris-Orly

Vueling has inaugurated its base in Paris-Orly (ORY) from which it will operate 30 new routes, including the introduction of wide-body aircraft on its flights to destinations with greater demand, allowing it to offer greater seating capacity and frequencies compared to its competitors.

Among Vueling’s new routes are several holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, and other European nations, increasing its international network to 10 countries.

From Orly (ORY) Vueling is targeting its main international markets, such as Spain and the United Kingdom with six new routes each. Other countries that stand out are Italy and Germany with five and three routes respectively.

Data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena and the CAA UK indicate that in 2019, 14,039,925 and 12,678,743 passengers were mobilized from Spain and the UK to France respectively.

  • Asturias (OVD) started on November 3 with 3 weekly flights.
  • Santander (SDR) started on November 5 with 2 weekly flights.
  • Granada (GRX) started on November 3 with 2 weekly flights.
  • Zaragoza (ZAZ) started on November 4 with 2 flights per week.
  • Jerez de la Frontera (XRY) started on November 5 with 2 weekly flights.

Italy

  • Milan Bergamo (BGY) started on November 2 with 3 weekly flights.
  • Turin (TRN) started on November 2 with 2 flights per week.
  • Genoa (GOA) started on November 5 with 2 weekly flights.
  • Bologna (BLQ) started on November 3 with 3 weekly flights.
  • Bari (BRI) started on November 2 with 2 weekly flights.

United Kingdom

  • Cardiff (CWL) began on 2 November with 2 flights weekly.
  • Birmingham (BHX) started on November 3 with 3 weekly flights.
  • Edinburgh (EDI) started on November 2 with 3 weekly flights.
  • Glasgow (GLA) started on November 4 with 2 weekly flights.

  • Hamburg (HAM) started on November 3 with 4 weekly flights.

Sweden

  • Stockholm (ARN) started on November 3 with 3 weekly flights.
  • Gothenburg (GOT) started on November 5 with 2 weekly flights.

Ireland

  • Dublin (DUB) started on November 2 with daily flights.
  • Cork (ORK) started on November 26 with 2 weekly flights.

Morocco

  • Tangier (TNG) started on 3 November with 2 weekly flights.
  • Agadir (AGA) started on November 3 with 2 weekly flights.

Norway

  • Bergen (BGO) started on November 5 with 1 flight per week.

Denmark

  • Billund (BLL) started on November 4 with 2 weekly flights.

More new routes

During the winter season Vueling will continue to expand its network at Paris-Orly reaching more European destinations:

  • Kiev – Boryspil, Ukraine (KBP) starts on December 5, 2021.
  • A Coruña, Spain (LCG) starts on December 18, 2021.
    Airbus A330 debut

On Nov. 8, it began operating several European routes from Paris-Orly with Airbus A330-300s under lease through sister airline Aer Lingus during the winter season.

The Spanish low-cost carrier is using wide-body aircraft on flights to Stockholm (ARN), Dublin (DUB), and Milan Bergamo (BGY).
