Last Wednesday, December 1st, LATAM landed in Jericoacoara, in the state of Ceará, with direct flights from São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU). This first service had an 80% load capacity.

The city is one of the favorite destinations for Brazilian tourists, given that during most of the year its beaches, rivers, and lagoons have temperatures similar to those of the Caribbean. The tourism in the area is almost new, as it was not accessible 20 years ago, but since the modernization of its airport, it has generated an increase of tourists from all over the world.

In December, LATAM will expand its flights on the following routes:

Currently, the Brazilian domestic market has been significantly recovering, as many tourists have chosen to travel around the country due to the uncertainty of the current health situation. Azul, GOL, and LATAM Brazil are competing as equals against each other in order to monopolize every possible location in the country, together with other small sub-regional airlines such as Passaredo, Azul Conecta, Two Flex, Aerosul, and Abaete.
