Aeromexico has announced the launch of an exclusive home delivery service for packages sent by its subsidiary Aeromexico Cargo. Initially, the delivery service will be available for destinations within Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana, Merida, and Cancun. Packages, however, may be shipped from any of the 36 cities that make up the airline’s domestic network:

Alejandro Méndez González, Senior Vice President of Aeroméxico Cargo, said: “We are creating this new service because Aeromexico Cargo’s infrastructure and connectivity network allows us to continue innovating solutions that are convenient for our customers. We look forward to the success of this project and we are committed to continuing to increase the number of applicable destinations. According to the executive, the company estimates that in the first year “it will be delivering more than 27 thousand packages to homes”.

According to the airline, packages must meet the following specifications to be allowed under the home delivery program:

  • 80 kilograms maximum weight
  • Maximum dimensions of 145x125x80 centimeters.
  • Up to 100 thousand Mexican pesos

Tracking in real-time of the route of the merchandise will be allowed. Delivery will be made the same day of arrival at destination. This service will be available for general cargo, Aeromexico Gold service, courier, and perishable shipments (with certain packaging precautions to guarantee the maintenance of the shipment conditions and avoid possible spills).
