The Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport of Barranquilla expects to serve approximately 270,000 passengers throughout the month of December, which is one of the busiest months of the year.
Therefore, the Grupo Aeroportuario del Caribe has established the necessary procedures to guarantee the mobility and biosecurity protocols in view of the number of operations that are expected for these dates.
Accordingly, the Airport will allow only two companions per passenger or family group into the terminal, and the entry of people waiting for the arrival of travelers will be prohibited.
Between December 1 and 16, approximately 141,747 passengers were mobilized at the airport on domestic and international commercial routes, which implies an increase of 43% compared to the same period in 2020.
According to the Group, the successful joint work of the airport and aviation authorities and airlines, together with the progress of the vaccination plans in the country, have allowed the flow of passengers to considerably increase for this season.
