Europe’s Wingcopter, specialized in drones for logistics services, has already secured its next investment. The capital injection comes from Synerjet Corp, a specialist in business aviation in Latin America, with operations in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Panama and Guatemala.

According to what was reported by our partner media Aeroin, the new funding comes on top of the recently announced investments Wingcopter received from Japan’s Drone Fund, as well as from Uber co-founder Garrett Camp’s Expa.

Synerjet made the investment soon after joining the Wingcopter Authorized Partner Program (WAPP), which allows companies to act as local distributors and technical support providers for the Wingcopter 198 drone.

Synerjet, as an authorized partner, is seeking to reach drone operators, logistics companies, and service providers in the healthcare sector. For Wingcopter, the partnership represents an essential gateway to the Latin American market and an important milestone for its global expansion plans.

The German company will benefit from Synerjet’s knowledge of the local regulatory framework as well as its relationships and experiences with local civil aviation authorities.

Synerjet joins existing investors Drone Fund, Expa, Xplorer Capital, Futury Capital, Hesse Kapital III, and Corecam Capital Partners in preparing for Wingcopter’s Series B investment round in 2022.

«We would like to thank Synerjet CEO José Brandão and the entire team for their trust in Wingcopter. By making this investment right after becoming our first authorized partner in Latin America demonstrates that they understand the enormous potential of what we are creating here at Wingcopter. The region offers vast growth opportunities for both companies and we are looking forward to expanding together across the continent,» explained Tom Plümmer, Wingcopter’s CEO.

José Eduardo Brandão, added: «Synerjet is very proud to be an authorized partner of Wingcopter and a new investor in the company. This proves our commitment to the UAM (unmanned aerial mobility) industry, serving our customers in Latin America, and reinforces the confidence we have in Tom Plümmer and his great team of professionals. Synerjet is absolutely convinced of Wingcopter’s approach and dedication to making a positive impact worldwide in the years to come.»
