Multimillionaire Roman Abramovich, the owner of Millhouse LLC and Chelsea FC, has recently upgraded his own private fleet with a Boeing 787-8 VIP.
As a result, the European magnate decided to put his Boeing 767-300ER nicknamed «The Bandit» up for sale, placing a price of US$ 100 million on it.
The 14-year-old aircraft is being traded by Global Jet, a company specialized in buying, selling, and advising on operations with luxury units. Abramovich’s now «old» jet can seat 34 people and has flown only 7,134 hours, completing 1,967 cycles.
Before becoming «The Bandit», this 767 (MSN 33425) had originally been ordered by Hawaiian Airlines, but Abramovich acquired it when the U.S. carrier finally decided not to add it to its fleet.
Its interior was developed by Andrew Winch Design, known for his work on billionaires’ yachts and jets. The «Bandit» features a reading room, lounge, and meeting space.
The ship’s accommodations are listed and the rooms are spacious. There are at least 2 bathrooms, 1 salon, 1 galley, 1 dining room, and, of course, crew rooms.
According to our partner o Aeroin, the name «Bandit» was given after the entrepreneur had the aircraft painted with a dark external finish around the cockpit windows, which gives it the appearance of a bandit mask. One curious thing about it is that it also has a missile defense system.
All of this is now for sale, awaiting the arrival of the next multimillionaire to enjoy it. In the meantime, Abramovich will be flying aboard his new «toy», a brand new Boeing 787-8.
