Iberojet, the Spanish company specialized in flights to the Caribbean and South America belonging to the Ávoris tourism group, has signed a contract with Correos and leased two of its Airbus A330 aircraft, one of which has already been painted all in yellow and bears the contractor’s logo.

In the agreement, Correos will be in charge of managing shipments, logistics, and the commercial side of capturing new parcel markets, while Iberojet will be in charge of organizing logistics and executing operations.

As reported by our media partner, Aeroin, Iberojet will make available two of its Airbus A330s, which will use the Correos logo and operate under the «Correos Cargo» brand.

The project will commence during the first quarter of this year with 4 weekly frequencies between Madrid and Hong Kong. With the arrival of the second aircraft, connections with South America will also begin, especially with Spanish-speaking countries.

«We are extremely satisfied with this alliance, which allows us, on the one hand, to count on a partner of great relevance, such as Correos, and on the other, helps us to diversify our business and at the same time address the modernization of our fleet,» says Ávoris CEO and owner of Iberojet, Miguel Ángel Sánchez.

The company has already had experience operating in the parcel market and using commercial aircraft for cargo operations during the pandemic. This led to a 25% increase in revenues in the first half of 2021 over the previous year, reaching 135 million parcels shipped, 12.6% more than in the same period but 2020.
