Air Canada has announced its schedule for the boreal summer season with the resumption of 34 transatlantic and transpacific routes.
Beginning next month, it will resume services from Toronto (YYZ) to Tel Aviv (TLV), Paris (CDG), Tokyo (NRT), and Amsterdam (AMS), representing a recovery in demand for long-haul flights. Also from Montreal, it will reinstate non-stop operations to Nice (NCE), Casablanca (CMN), Algiers (ALG), Rome (FCO), Tel Aviv (TLV) and Narita (NRT). From Vancouver (YVR) seasonal services return to Frankfurt (FRA), Dublin (DUB), and Zurich (ZRH).
Air Canada is also relaunching service to popular European tourist destinations. Those are Copenhagen (CPH), Madrid (MAD), Milan (MXP), Venice (VCE), and Budapest (BUD). The latter of which the Canadian carrier will be the only North American carrier with non-stop service to the Hungarian capital.
The company is also bringing back transatlantic operations from Halifax (YHZ) with the restart of the route to London Heathrow (LHR). This one will be operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with daily flights.
Several of Air Canada’s European destinations remained suspended since March 2020. At the same time, some seasonal services were without operations since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis and health restrictions.
Resuming flights

The resumption of international routes builds on the Canadian carrier’s major expansion in North America, with the launch of seven new routes and the restart of 41 previously suspended routes. Air Canada is preparing for the summer season to be one of the leading operators in the transatlantic market and to be the Canadian airline with the largest international offering.
