LEVEL returns to the Big Apple

On February 25, LEVEL reconnected Barcelona (BCN) with New York (JFK) after a suspension of almost two years, due to the COVID-19 crisis. The flight took off at 17:15 local time with an occupancy factor of 80.8%.

The Spanish Low Cost airline will offer a four times a week operation (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) between the Catalan capital and the Big Apple and by the end of March it will increase to daily, flights will be operated in Airbus A330-200 aircraft with 314 seats in two classes (21 Premium Economy/293 Economy).

LEVEL will be the only low-cost carrier on the New York – Barcelona sector, which is currently served by three legacy airlines between American and Delta serving from John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), and United from Newark (EWR).

Data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Estadísticas, New York (JFK) was the main long-haul route from the Americas to El Prat Airport (BCN) in 2019 where 412,394 passengers and 8,349.3 tons of cargo were mobilized in 1,628 air operations.

For the 2022 boreal summer season, LEVEL plans its largest schedule to the United States where it will offer four destinations between the east and west coast on 19 weekly flights, and an offer of almost 6,000 seats per week.
