GlobalX, Global Crossing Airlines, will increase its fleet of Airbus A321 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) aircraft by signing a lease agreement for two additional aircraft with Petrus Aerovista A321 Holdings LLC, a joint venture between Aerovista FZE (“Aerovista”) and Petrus Aviation LLC (“Petrus”).
Aerovista arranged the acquisition of the two Airbus A321 passenger aircraft, and both aircraft will be converted with 321 Precision Conversions.
“We are delighted to be working with Aerovista on these two A321 freighters. Aerovista is a well-established lessor that understands the needs and requirements of an airline like GlobalX. We look forward to receiving these freighters and hopefully additional aircraft from them,” said Ed Wegel, president and CEO of GlobalX.
The first aircraft (MSN 1451) will begin conversion in the first quarter of 2023 and is expected to enter service with GlobalX in August 2023. The second aircraft (MSN 1503) will begin conversion in the second quarter of 2023 and is expected to be placed into service with GlobalX in November 2023.
Both aircraft operated for AtlasGlobal and were manufactured in 2001, currently, MSN 1503 flies with Bulgarian airline Fly2Sky.
The deliveries
GlobalX awaits deliveries of its first four Airbus A321 P2Fs ordered in December 2021 from Greenwich Highland Aviation, also converted by 321 Precision Conversions. They are expected to arrive in July and December 2022, although this is dependent on Federal Aviation Administration approval as the variant’s first U.S. customer.

Miami-based GlobalX is dedicated to providing ACMI and Wet-leasing charter services to other airlines and tour operators in the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
The airline currently operates four Airbus A320s with 68-180 passenger capacity and one Airbus A321 with 183 seats.
