American Airlines announces return of flights to Venice

During the 2022 summer season, American Airlines resumes its seasonal service between Philadelphia (PHL) and Venice (VCE) starting May 5 and will be available through the end of October.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, the American carrier will offer a total of 3,276 seats per week in fourteen air operations on this route during the summer.

«Following the gradual recovery of domestic and European traffic, also the intercontinental segment, is progressively returning to our airport. The flight to the Philadelphia hub guarantees ample connections within the United States and we are confident that the company will soon reactivate the flight to Chicago» said Camillo Bozzolo, Commercial Director of SAVE Group.

Flight Itinerary

  • Philadelphia – Venice Flight AA714 PHL 18:55 – VCE 09:25+1 daily flights.
  • Venice – Philadelphia Flight AA715 VCE 12:15 – PHL 15:35 daily flights.

Flights will be operated in Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 234 seats in three classes (20 Business Class/ 28 Premium Economy/ 186 Economy).

Data compiled by Aviacionline through the Ente Nazionale Per L’Aviazione Civile (ENAC) shows that American Airlines transported 137,338 passengers from the United States to Venice (VCE) in 2019, of which 69,921 passengers departed from Philadelphia (PHL).

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is American Airlines’ main East Coast transatlantic hub where it will offer up to 265 daily flights on more than one hundred destinations during the 2022 summer season. Passengers originating from Italy will have the option of connections to numerous destinations in Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.

In 2019, the largest U.S. airline moved 992,463 passengers to Italy, making it the leading North American carrier in the region. American Airlines for the summer will offer a total of 25,116 seats on ninety-eight air operations between the U.S. and Italy, restoring several of its popular seasonal services.
