This Tuesday (29) at 1:16 a.m. local time, the first LATAM flight to Sydney took off from Santiago de Chile. The Chilean company resumed operations to Australia after a 24-month suspension as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and its restrictions.
LATAM will have three weekly services between Santiago de Chile, Auckland and Sydney on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Auckland joins the company’s route schedule as of March 30th.
South America and Australasia returned to non-stop connections after two years. Previously, Air New Zealand, LATAM and Qantas offered these flights.
