As from July Aerolíneas Argentinas will start operating a new tourist route connecting San Salvador de Jujuy with Mendoza and Iguazú.
On Mondays and Fridays the flight will operate in the direction Iguazú – Jujuy – Mendoza, while on Tuesdays and Saturdays it will operate in the opposite way. With this new corridor, Aerolíneas Argentinas operates 41 routes without passing through Buenos Aires. For the time being, the flight is not yet listed on the website, but as well as the Iguazú – Salta – Mendoza corridor, it is expected that the one through Jujuy will also be operated by Embraer E190 aircraft with capacity for 96 passengers.
«These new flights will greatly enhance the arrival of tourists to the province of Jujuy, since by forming a corridor between three provinces with very important and diverse attractions, we are offering the possibility of getting to know Argentina without having to return to Buenos Aires to take the next flight,» stated Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
The company also announced that it will increase from 18 to 21 weekly flights between San Salvador de Jujuy and Buenos Aires.
