World2Fly, the airline of the Iberostar tourism group focused on the vacation market, announced its incorporation to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
It thus becomes the eleventh member from Spain. Air Europa, Air Nostrum, Albastar, Binter Canarias, Evelop, Iberia, Privilege Style, Volotea, Vueling and Wamos Air are the Spanish airlines that are members of IATA.
World2Fly will have multiple benefits from joining IATA, such as cash flow protection and cost reduction. IATA’s financial settlement systems (ISS) are the backbone of the global airline industry and help contain costs, improve cash flow and maximize efficiency.
The association is also helping members achieve cost reductions related to ATC charges, fuel and taxes.
In addition, you can participate in conferences, committees and groups, as well as training in important fields such as passenger, cargo and security.
As can be seen on its website, joining IATA has an initial cost of USD 30,000. Once inside, a base annual fee of USD 12,257 is paid and a variable fee for members that register more than 5 million international ton-kilometers per year.
Another requirement is the approval of the IOSA audit, which was obtained by World2Fly in March.

IOSA is an internationally recognized and accepted assessment system designed to evaluate an airline’s operational management and control systems.
The IOSA certificate was implemented in 2003 to create an aviation industry certification standard.
