United Airlines resumes service between Newark and Naples

On Saturday, April 30, United Airlines resumed its seasonal service to Naples (NAP) after a suspension of two consecutive summers. Flight UA964 took off from Newark (EWR) at 17:07 local time and landed at Capodichino International Airport (NAP) at 07:48. The carrier’s last Southern Italian operation was in October 2019.

The Chicago-based airline will offer daily flights between the two cities on 214-seat high-density Boeing 767-300ER aircraft (30 Polaris Business Class/46 Economy Plus/138 Economy).

United will be the only carrier to offer transatlantic service to Naples (NAP) during the 2022 summer season, with flights available through October 23, 2022.

According to data compiled by Aviacionline through the Ente Nazionale Per L’Aviazione Civile (ENAC) in 2019 between Newark (EWR) and Naples (NAP), 55,825 passengers were mobilized.

United is preparing the largest expansion in Italy in its history, with four destinations in the country and offering 27,780 seats per week in 108 flight operations, it will be the second U.S. airline with the largest capacity on Italian territory during the 2022 summer season.
