On May 30 Air Canada resumed its third UK connection with a seasonal non-stop service between Toronto (YYZ) and Manchester (MAN), a route that it will operate five times a week.
Flight AC 808 was flown on an Airbus A330-300 aircraft registered C-GKUH and took off from Lester Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 11:53 local time and landed at MAN at 11:39 the following day.
The carrier will offer 2,970 seats per week between the two cities, the Canadian flag carrier will be the largest carrier on this route, where it currently competes with Air Transat.
Flight Itinerary
- Toronto – Manchester Flight AC 808 YYZ 21:30 – MAN 09:20+1 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
- Manchester – Toronto Flight AC 809 MAN 12:15 – YYZ 14:50 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Flights will be operated on Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a capacity of 297 seats in three classes including Dream Cabin products (32 Business Class/24 Premium Economy/241 Economy), promotional fares start from GBP 397 each way. The service ends on September 30, 2022.
Data compiled by Aviacionline via Civil Aviation Authority UK (CAA) indicates that in 2019, between Toronto (YYZ) and Manchester (MAN) 149,933 passengers were moved, it was the third busiest route from Lester Pearson Airport (YYZ) to Great Britain.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, for the 2022 boreal summer season, Air Canada will have 43,242 seats per week on offer between major Canadian airports to three British destinations including: London Heathrow (LHR), Edinburgh (EDI) and Manchester.
Canada is the second most important transatlantic destination in the United Kingdom, prior to the pandemic between the two nations 3,603,100 passengers were mobilized, the schedule of the Canadian flag carrier in Great Britain is as follows:
London Heathrow (LHR)
- Vancouver (YVR) two daily flights on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
- Halifax (YHZ) daily flights on Boeing 737 MAX 8.
- Calgary (YYC) daily flights on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
- Toronto (YYZ) three daily flights on Boeing 777-300ER and 787-8 Dreamliner.
- Montreal (YUL) two daily flights on Boeing 787-9/-8 Dreamliner.
Edinburgh (EDI)
Toronto (YYZ) six times a week on Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
Manchester (MAN)
Toronto (YYZ) five flights per week on Airbus A330-300s.
