Conviasa to fly between Caracas and Algiers

Effective July the 27th, Conviasa will inaugurate flights between Caracas and Algiers. For the first time, the Algerian capital will have non-stop passenger services with South America.

The Venezuelan state-owned company will fly once every 15 days between both cities. Operations will be carried out on Airbus A340-300 and Airbus A340-600, with capacity for 255 and 308 passengers.

At publication time, the operations are not available on the Venezuelan airline’s reservation system. Confirmed flight dates can be found on the site:

  • Caracas (CCS) – Algiers (ALG): July 27, August 17 and 31, September 14 and 28.
  • Algiers (ALG) – Caracas (CCS): July 28, August 18, September 1, 15 and 29.

Services will soon be available in the Conviasa website.

Venezuela had confirmed in early June through a press release the start of flights between the country and Algeria, after Nicolás Maduro’s Eurasian tour. Conviasa also schedules services to Doha for the World Cup, although there are no confirmed operations for the moment.
