Wizz Air continues to expand its network in Spain with two new routes from Warsaw – Chopin (WAW) to Valencia (VLC) starting this winter and Bilbao (BIO) for the summer of next year.
With these new services the company will contribute to the post-Covid recovery at Spanish airports by restoring their air connectivity and offering passengers greater travel options.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Wizz Air will offer 15,938 seats per week in 72 air operations between Poland and Spain, the airline is the second largest airline operator in this market with a share of 34.75%.
Bilbao (BIO)
This will be a new destination in the Wizz Air network, the airline two weekly flights between Warsaw (WAW) – Bilbao (BIO) from March 28, 2023, the schedule is as follows:
- Warsaw (WAW) 07:10 – Bilbao (BIO) 10:30 Tuesday and Saturday.
- Bilbao (BIO) 11:05 – Warsaw (WAW) 14:20 Tuesday and Saturday.
Tickets are already on sale from the company’s website and promotional fares are available from 49.99 euros each way. This route will be the only non-stop connection between Poland and Bilbao Airport (BIO).
Valencia (VLC)
Wizz Air announces a fifth international route from Valencia (VLC), starting December 2 will offer twice weekly flights from Warsaw – Chopin (WAW), the schedule is as follows:
- Warsaw – Valencia Flight W6 1337 WAW 15:25 – VLC 18:50 Monday and Friday.
- Valencia – Warsaw Flight W6 1338 VLC 19:30 – WAW 22:50 Monday and Friday.
This route will be the fourth connection from Valencia Airport (VLC) to Poland, currently Ryanair offers services from Warsaw – Modlin (WMI), Krakow (KRK) and Gdansk (GDN).
Data compiled by Aviacionline through Aena Statistics indicate that for the first half of 2022 between Poland and Spain 1,028,655 passengers and 1,930.62 tons of cargo were mobilized in 6,508 air operations.
