The Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) granted the first concession to provide domestic air cargo service from the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA). The Mexican company TM Aerolíneas S.A. de C.V., known as «Awesome Cargo», will become the first company authorized to operate cargo flights to and from the new airport, which was inaugurated less than a year ago.
«Mexican exporters will have new alternatives to place their products in other latitudes quickly and safely with the best prices since the airline has wide-body aircraft such as the A330-200,» the state agency said in a release.
Awesome Cargo operates as a global sales agent (GSA) for several Chinese airlines. The corporation was born with great expectations of growth and expansion in the medium term, both in the domestic and international markets, offering its services to different regions of the world.
AIFA’s General Director, Miguel Enrique Vallin Osuna, expressed his satisfaction with the birth of this new company. He also emphasized that AIFA is an airport that offers «the best infrastructure, security, modernity, and communications conditions», which guarantees the development of domestic and international cargo aviation in this area.
Meanwhile, the directors of TM Aerolíneas were pleased to receive the concession and acknowledged the government’s efforts to support the expansion of the country’s air sector.
