Eurowings expands operations in Prague after a successful year

For the past year, Eurowings has been connecting Prague (PRG) with major European cities and popular holiday destinations. Starting operations with four cities during the 2021/2022 northern winter season, travelers could already opt for fourteen destinations during the summer of 2022.

The Lufthansa Group airline quickly established itself in the Czech market and promoted great customer interest from the outset.

“Prague and Eurowings are a match. We made the move to the Czech Republic when the situation was still very uncertain, but it is becoming increasingly clear that people all over Europe want to travel again after the coronavirus restrictions,” says Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings.” said Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings.

“In summer, Eurowings took many guests to popular tourist destinations and also expanded the offer in winter. New destinations for summer 2023 and year-end travel trends

Spain was the most popular European holiday market in the Czech capital, with customers’ favorite destinations, as Alicante (ALC), Palma de Mallorca (PMI) and Barcelona (BCN). On the other hand, the most popular metropolis for travel was Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH).

For the 2023 summer season, Eurowings will offer increased travel options to business and leisure passengers from Prague (PRG). The airline will have new routes to Geneva (GVA), Corfu (CFU) and Rhodes (RHO). In addition, it will increase services to Copenhagen (11 weekly flights), Stockholm – Arlanda (six times a week), Malaga (four times a week), Athens and Alicante (three weekly flights).

Eurowings‘ current schedule features 18 routes, which are served by three aircraft based in Prague (PRG) and promotional fares available from EUR 39.99.

The most popular destinations for Czech travelers for New Year’s Eve are the metropolises of Barcelona (BCN), Rome (FCO) and Stockholm (ARN).
