On January 10 American Airlines launched nonstop service between Cincinnati (CVG) and Raleigh/Durham (RDU). With this new route, the company will offer 12 destinations in CVG, in addition to being the second largest carrier in terms of seats per seat kilometers (ASK).
Flight AA 4736, operated by American Eagle in an Embraer E175 registered as N422YX, took off from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) at 20:50 local time and landed at Raleigh/Durham Airport at 21:42, after 53 minutes.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, the U.S. airline will offer 1,064 weekly seats between Cincinnati (CVG) and Raleigh/Durham (RDU) and will be the only airline operating this route, thus reinforcing Ohio’s connectivity with North Carolina.

American Airlines continues to strengthen its Cincinnati (CVG) operation by adding more domestic destinations and will offer 38,214 seats per week according to Cirium. Recently, its Joint Venture partner, British Airways will offer transatlantic service to CVG with a non-stop connection from London – Heathrow (LHR), where the American airline will codeshare on this route.
