European Low Cost airline seeks pilots in South America

The ultra low-cost airline Wizz Air is looking for pilots in South America and announced the organization of an Open Day with the aim of recruiting those interested in joining its bases in different parts of Europe and Abu Dhabi.

Wizz Air has a «sister airline» in the region, JetSMART, since both share as main investor Indigo Partners, a holding company also related to U.S.-based Frontier Airlines and Mexico’s Volaris.

The Open Day will take place at the Novotel hotel located at Av. Mal. Câmara 300, in front of the Santos Dumont airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The date is March 5, 2023, when there will be two sessions, at 10:00 AM (GMT -3) and 2:00 PM, in which the airline, its network and future plans will be presented; employment and training conditions; career opportunities, salary scheme and benefits; and finally a question and answer session.

The Open Day will be followed by two two-day Pilot Assesments on March 6-7 and 8-9 in Sao Paulo.

Among the benefits detailed by Wizz Air are a bonus added to the annual base salary after every 1,000 hours flown with the company, indefinite contracts, loss of license, travel and life insurance, and advanced career progression (Command Upgrade, Safety Captains / Line Training Captain / Instructor / Management Pilot).

Those interested must pre-register at this link by March 4 at the latest.
