Summer 2023: Ryanair launches flight schedule from London with six new routes

Low-cost airline Ryanair announced on Tuesday its schedule of flights from London’s Stansted (its main hub in the United Kingdom), Gatwick and Luton airports for the 2023 summer season. It will offer more than 180 routes: six of them, three domestic and three to mainland Europe, will be available for the first time.

According to a press release, 57 aircraft will be based in London, including fourteen Boeing 737 MAX 8200 «Gamechanger» aircraft with an interior configuration of 197 seats.

Ryanair expects to operate more than three thousand flights a week, representing an increase of around 10% compared to the 2022 summer season. The airline will also increase its capacity between London and holiday destinations with high demand among British tourists, such as Málaga and Palma de Mallorca.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Cirium platform, Ryanair scheduled 8.989 flights to and from London Stansted Airport (STN) in June with a total of 1.705.345 seats available. The operation will increase in July, reaching 9.429 flights per month and a total of 1.788.951 seats, numbers that will be maintained during August.

In addition, it will operate 600 flights to and from London Gatwick Airport (LGW) during June, offering 115.204 seats. In July and August it will reach 620 flights per month and offer 118.830 seats.

Finally, Ryanair scheduled 1.110 air services to and from London Luton Airport (LTN) in June, with a total of 210.296 seats available. The number of operations and available capacity will increase slightly during July and August.

New Ryanair destinations from London-Stansted (STN) during the summer 2023

  • Belfast (BFS): two daily flights.
  • Cornwall (NQY): three flights a week.
  • Edinburgh (EDI): three daily flights.
  • Asturias (OVD): three flights a week.
  • Klagenfurt (KLU): two flights a week.
  • Leipzig (LEJ): three flights a week.
Six new routes will be available on Ryanair’s network from London-Stansted in the summer of 2023.
