Air Canada Cargo is expanding its European network with new service to Liège, Belgium (LGG) starting in February and Basel (BSL): both routes to be operated on Boeing 767-300 freighters.
The company will offer two weekly flights to Liège (LGG) and the service will increase to three weekly operations later in the year. Basel (BSL), one of Europe’s leading pharmaceutical hubs, will have weekly flights. Both services originate in Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) and stop in Halifax (YHZ).
These routes will connect to the company’s main hub and have access to Air Canada Cargo’s extensive network.
«Air Canada Cargo continues to expand its cargo network to provide customers with reliable year-round service connecting key European markets to Air Canada and Air Canada Cargo’s global network through its Toronto hub,» said Matthieu Casey, Chief Commercial Officer, Air Canada Cargo.
These new services follow the recent launch of routes to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Atlanta (ATL) and Bogota (BOG) as the cargo carrier continues to expand its global cargo network.
Air Canada Cargo currently has a fleet of five Boeing 767 freighters with five additional orders, plus an order for two Boeing 777Fs. The carrier offers services in Canada, Germany, Mexico, Peru, the United States, Spain and Ecuador.
