Volotea launches four routes between Olbia and Spain

By the end of May, Volotea will expand its international operations in Olbia (OLB) with four new Spanish routes to Bilbao (BIO), Barcelona (BCN), Madrid (MAD) and Valencia (VLC). All these services will be available during the summer season.

The low-cost airline will offer 3,960 seats per week and eleven flights per week between Costa Smeralda International Airport (OLB) and Spain. The company will be the main airline operator in this market, competing with Iberia and Vueling.

All services will be operated in Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 seats in a single-class configuration.

Barcelona (BCN)

Starting May 26, 2023

  • Olbia (OLB) 17:05 – Barcelona (BCN) 18:35 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Barcelona (BCN) 19:10 – Olbia (OLB) 20:40 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Madrid (MAD)

Starting May 26, 2023

  • Olbia (OLB) 20:10 – Madrid (MAD) 22:25 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • Madrid (MAD) 22:55 – Olbia (OLB) 01:05+1 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Bilbao (BIO)

Starting May 27, 2023

Olbia (OLB) 06:30 – Bilbao (BIO) 08:40 Wednesday and Saturday.
Bilbao (BIO) 09:10 – Olbia (OLB) 11:05 Wednesday and Saturday.

Valencia (VLC)

Starting May 27, 2023

  • Olbia (OLB) 20:40 – Valencia (VLC) 22:25 Tuesday and Saturday.
  • Valencia (VLC) 22:55 – Olbia (OLB) 00:40+1 Tuesday and Saturday.

Tickets are already on sale from the company website and promotional fares are available from EUR 22 each way.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Aena Statistics, 37,194 passengers and 160 kilograms of cargo were mobilized in 2022 between Spain and Olbia (OLB) in 160 operations.

Volotea is the second largest airline operator at Costa Smeralda International Airport (OLB) in terms of seats per kilometers offered (ASK). The airline offers more than 25,000 seats per week from the province of Sacer, where it connects to 15 destinations in Italy and 15 international services to Spain and France.
