Azores Airlines will lease an Airbus A330-200 from Plus Ultra to increase its capacity to the United States and Canada from Terceira (TER). In the period June – September, the widebody aircraft will be operating to Boston (BOS), Montreal (YUL), Oakland (OAK) and Toronto – Pearson (YYZ).
According to data obtained by Aviacioline through Cirium, Azores Airlines will have during the peak season an offer of 3,734 weekly seats between Lajes Airport (TER) and North America, a55% increase when compared to 2022 levels.
Plus Ultra’s Airbus A330-200s have a capacity for 299 passengers in two classes (24 Business Class/275 Economy). The Portuguese airline will be offering 2,990 seats per week on widebody aircraft, replacing the Airbus A321neo operation.
Azores Airlines will continue to operate one Airbus A321neo weekly to New York (JFK) and one of the three weekly flights to Toronto – Pearson (YYZ). The company offers five non-stop destinations between Lajes Airport (TER) and North America.
