After reporting the delay to Johannesburg, LATAM confirmed that it is postponing the re-launch of its operations to Melbourne, originally scheduled for July 17th. The airline has maintained flights suspended since March 2020, as a consequence of the Coronavirus pandemic.

According to the reservation system, LATAM plans to resume services between Santiago de Chile and Melbourne effective September 1st. The company will fly three times a week, the same schedule planned for July.
