European manufacturer Airbus delivered a total of 46 aircraft to 34 customers around the world during February. It also received a gross order for 99 units.

These 46 aircraft delivered are divided into 26 A321NEO, 13 A320NEO, 3 A220-300, 2 A350-900, 1 A330-900NEO and 1 A330-200. Compared to January, Airbus doubled deliveries, as only 20 aircraft were delivered in the first month of the year.

In terms of orders, a total of 99 firm orders were recorded. Of these, the new order from Qatar Airways stands out, following the legal confrontation it had with the manufacturer over the quality of its A350 product.

Of the 99 aircraft ordered, 73 units are for Qatar Airways, divided into 50 A321NEO and 23 A350-1000; 15 A320NEO belong to an undisclosed customer, 1 A319NEO to a private customer and 10 to the British airline British Airways, divided into 7 A320NEO and 3 A321NEO.

So far this year, Airbus has delivered a total of 66 aircraft to 42 customers worldwide.

Qatar Airways and Airbus make the passes

In its monthly newsletter, Airbus announced that the order belonging to Qatar Airways has been reinstated. A total of 73 aircraft were ordered by the Middle Eastern airline from the European manufacturer.

The order had been frozen due to a lawsuit brought by Qatar Airways against Airbus over damage to A350 fuselages caused by poor paint quality.

The litigation between the two companies reached an agreement, which allows the unfreezing of these orders, which is actually a benefit for Qatar Airways, since without A350 and A321NEO, it will have to wait until who knows when the deliveries of the new Boeing 737-10 MAX and 777-9 will take place.
