Scandinavian Airlines inaugurated two routes to New York on A321LR

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) inaugurated its non-stop flights from Aalborg (AAL) and Gothenburg (GOT) to Newark (EWR). The carrier continues to expand its services between Scandinavia and the New York metropolitan area.

The new SAS routes are operated on Airbus A321LR aircraft with 157 seats in three classes (22 Business Class/12 Premium Economy/123 Economy). In addition both services will return for the 2024 summer season.

Second service between Denmark and New York

On April 27, flight SK 921 was operated on an Airbus A321LR registered SE-DMO, which took off from Aalborg Airport (AAL) at 18:47 local time and landed at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) at 20:24, after seven hours and 56 minutes.

Second route between Sweden and New York

On April 28, flight SK 921 was operated by the same aircraft as the inaugural Aalborg (AAL), which took off from Gothenburg Airport (GOT) at 19:47 local time and landed at Newark Airport (EWR) at 21:51, after eight hours and three minutes.

Scandinavian Airlines will have an offer of 16,990 seats per week between Scandinavia and the New York metropolitan area for the summer season, this represents an increase of more than 20% compared to the 2019 summer season.
