The Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation (Rosaviatsia) has authorized the operation of the TV7-117ST-01 engine, which will power the Il-114-300 aircraft. With this permission, the engine developed by the United Engine Corporation of Rostec will be able to fly at altitudes of up to 6,000 meters and speeds of up to 550 km/h. This is the next planned stage for the model’s flight test campaign.
The Il-114-300 is equipped with two TV7-117ST-01 engines produced by UEC-Klimov in Saint Petersburg. By the end of the year, six more sets will be provided for flight tests. Then, based on the results of the program, a decision will be made to start mass production.

“Currently, UEC-Klimov is preparing for the flight tests of the TV7-117ST-01 integrated into the Ilyushin Il-114-300 aircraft. In addition to this, we are preparing two more spare engines using a certified standard design, and by the end of the year, four additional engines will be provided for the aircraft’s flight tests,” said Vsevolod Eliseev, Chief Designer at UEC-Klimov.
In early December 2022, the Federal Air Transport Agency issued a type certificate for the TV7-117ST-01 engine. This powerplant is a state-of-the-art turboprop with a takeoff power of 3100 hp and the best fuel efficiency in its class. The engine is controlled by an innovative FADEC (BARK-65SM) electronic system and works in conjunction with the new AB112-114 propeller, providing an increased thrust of 4 tons.
All Il-114 and Il-112V aircraft, whose only specimen crashed in August 2021, are equipped with TVS117-ST engines.
