Norse Atlantic Airways Celebrates its First Year of Operations

Norse Atlantic Airways is celebrating the first anniversary of its first transatlantic operation on a non-stop flight between Oslo and New York JFK.

Norse Atlantic reports consecutive growth in load factor for May and it is poised for summer expansion

Since the first commercial flight 12 months ago, the low-cost airline has boosted its services to 12 destinations in Europe and the United States, and employs more than 1,000 people in Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States and the rest of Europe.

In this period, Norse Atlantic has operated more than 2,630 flights with almost half a million passengers. Cargo services have increased throughout the year and the company has moved approximately 14,500 tons in total, including 4,000 tons of fish between Europe and the United States.

We are delighted to commemorate our first anniversary connecting Oslo and New York. This milestone not only reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, but also highlights the growing demand for affordable, high-quality transatlantic travel. We are grateful for the trust our passengers have placed in us and look forward to a busy year ahead“, said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways.

To mark this important occasion, Norse Atlantic Airways announced a global offer in all markets. Customers can get discounted flights at affordable prices and experience onboard comfort service.
