The Colombian regional airline Easyfly confirmed today that it will be renamed as Clic, a decision they assure is «a way to celebrate the triumphs of the airline, which for over 16 years has been at the disposal of the country’s air connectivity, leaving a mark of hope, prosperity, and improvement on the region and its people».
This follows the agreement reached with Easygroup, owner of the European low-cost Easyjet, after the legal process they filed due to the similarity of the brand names in 2020. This, they expressed through a statement accessed by Aviacionline, «is an opportunity in which we will be reborn showing our purpose as a company and the differential value in the range of services we offer».
«The new brand is the emotional connection we have with people, places, and our country. This emanates our origins, roots, and essence, with which we feel proud and belonging to each of the places we fly«, they continued.
Easyfly also highlighted the positive results obtained during the first half of 2023 and compliance with the restructuring process that allowed the payment of more than 72 billion Colombian pesos to its creditors (~USD 16 million).

The new brand will be officially launched in August, along with more details of what this transformation process will mean.
In 2022 Easyfly transported 1.92 million passengers, a figure 35% higher than in 2021, which allowed it to consolidate as the fourth most important airline in Colombia. The airline operates 14 ATR 42 and 6 ATR 72.
The company inaugurated a new route and destination between Bogotá (BOG) and Pitalito (PTX) on June 16, while also announcing its plans to connect Bogotá and Cali (CLO) from July 12, with daily flights using ATR 42 planes, as well as Cartagena – Medellín on the 14th. This move marks the entry of the airline into one of the most demanded domestic markets in Colombia, facing strong competition from Avianca (118 weekly flights), LATAM (85 weekly flights), and Wingo (11 weekly flights), trying to partly fill the void left by VIVA.
