Porter Airlines Launches New Transcontinental Service
On July 26, 2023, Porter Airlines began a new transcontinental service with daily flights between Ottawa and Vancouver. This marks the carrier’s first route to Canada’s west coast from the Canadian capital.
Flight PD 267 was operated on an Embraer E195 – E2 registered C – GKKQ. The flight departed from McDonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) at 18:03 local time and arrived at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) at 20:23, completing the journey in five hours and twenty minutes.

- Ottawa – Vancouver: Flight PD 267 departs YOW at 18:00 and arrives YVR at 20:18.
- Vancouver – Ottawa: Flight PD 260 departs YVR at 07:45 and arrives YOW at 15:22.

Porter Expands to Alberta: New Route Announced
Porter Airlines continues to grow, adding a new non-stop connection between Ottawa and Edmonton to its operations in Western Canada. The service will be operated on Embraer E195 – E2 aircraft, with promotional fares starting at $95 CAD one way.

This route further enhances Porter’s continued expansion from Ottawa to Western Canada, with non-stop service from the Canadian capital to Vancouver and additional connecting options via Toronto-Pearson to Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg.

- Ottawa – Edmonton: Flight PD 347 departs YOW at 19:15 and arrives YEG at 21:40.
- Edmonton – Ottawa: Flight PD 332 departs YEG at 09:00 and arrives YOW at 15:00.
Porter Airlines’ network in Ottawa provides non-stop service to Boston, Newark, Fredericton, Halifax, Moncton, Thunder Bay, Toronto-City, Vancouver, Charlottetown, Toronto-Pearson, and soon, Edmonton.
