Delta Air Lines is stepping up its game at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, its primary transatlantic hub, with the unveiling of a second Sky Club situated in Terminal 4 near Gate A7.

This almost 1,300-square-meter lounge, offering seating for 250+ customers and a covered terrace, is set to complement the existing club in Terminal 4, Concourse B, allowing for a combined customer capacity of over 800.
The newly unveiled lounge takes its design cues from New York City, offering panoramic airport views, a cozy fireplace, a dedicated customer comfort area, and a 360-degree bar.
For the summer season, Delta is operating 230 daily departures to 95 destinations from New York – JFK, boasting its largest ever transatlantic schedule and resuming services to Geneva and London – Gatwick. During the winter, the airline plans to introduce a seasonal route to Buenos Aires and commence service to Rio de Janeiro in partnership with LATAM, bolstering connectivity between New York and South America.

Continued investment in New York
Since 2010, Delta has committed over $7 billion to infrastructure at its New York area airports, which includes a $1.5 billion financing package for an expansion project at John F. Kennedy Airport, initiated in Q4 2021.
In January 2023, Delta consolidated its Terminal 4 operations by opening 10 new gates in the spacious, state-of-the-art Concourse A, and introduced various technology upgrades aimed at enhancing travel convenience and efficiency, such as self-service check-in kiosks and baggage claim locations.
Furthermore, Delta plans to expand Concourse B by fall 2023, including 28 gates suitable for various aircraft types, renovated restrooms, an enlarged security checkpoint, and a baggage claim area.
