Schedules and frequencies to Albania

Flights are now available for purchase on iberia.com and travel agencies, with prices starting at 79 euros per leg when buying a round-trip ticket.

Iberia will compete on this route with Wizz Air, which operates two weekly flights using Airbus A321neo aircraft with a capacity for 238 passengers.

According to AENA statistics, between January and August 2023, 30,230 passengers were transported between both destinations.

Tirana becomes Iberia’s 138th destination

Tirana becomes a new destination for Iberia after the airline operated charter flights contracted by tour operators during the season. The city offers a wide variety of attractions, from the tranquillity of its Mediterranean coast, known as the Albanian Riviera, to imposing mountains exceeding two thousand meters, through historical castles and cities declared World Heritage by UNESCO, like Berat.

The market between Spain and Albania is primarily dominated by Wizz Air, operating from Tirana to Barcelona (daily), Madrid (two weekly flights) and, starting July 2, 2024, to Valencia (three weekly flights). Iberia will become the second regular operator between both countries.

Other airlines like World2Fly, Iberojet, and Smartwings recently entered this market, but with charter flights contracted by travel agencies.
