Spain: Castellón intensifies MRO activities in the winter season

In winter of 2023/2024, Castellón Airport intensifies its Maintenance, Repair, and Aircraft Review (MRO) activities. With the capacity to accommodate an average of 30 aircraft, various companies carry out maintenance work on their premises.

According to the words of the Director General of Coasts, Ports, and Airports, Vicente Martínez Mus, the increase in maintenance operations is due to the reduction in air traffic during winter. This provides airlines with the necessary time and space in their schedules to carry out checks on their fleets.

One of the main companies present at Castellón Airport is Brok-Air Aviation Group. The company has entered into contracts with various airlines and aircraft owners to perform scheduled maintenance on their fleets.

Brok-Air has a hangar covering 2,500 m², where it offers a variety of services, including online aircraft maintenance, base maintenance, structural modifications and repairs, check-C inspections, aircraft weighing, landing gear replacement and testing, retrofitting, aircraft preservation, engine replacement, and borescope inspections, among others.

Vicente Martínez Mus emphasized that the airport has benefited from industrial activities following the improvement of the platform hosting maintenance and aviation industry companies.
