Voepass inaugurates flights to Campina Grande

Last Tuesday (2), João Suassuna Airport, in Campina Grande, Paraíba, received the first flight of Voepass/LATAM, which operates regional flights in the Northeast. The company is the third to arrive at Campina Grande, which, according to data from Aena Brasil, recorded a 60.3% increase in passenger flow and 40.7% in the number of aircraft landings and takeoffs compared to last year through November.

The aircraft took off from Recife, landing at Campina Grande on its inaugural flight at 11:06 a.m. The aircraft, ATR 72-500 with capacity for 68 passengers, will leave Campina on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:50 a.m. bound for Fortaleza, from where it will return to Campina at 3:40 p.m. to take off for Recife at 5:00 p.m.

The Secretary of State for Tourism and Economic Development, Rosália Lucas, celebrated the start of the flight. “This is another great moment for our tourism industry with the arrival of the third airline at João Suassuna Airport, which already has a large number of passengers, boosting and further strengthening the economy, as a result of the efforts and successes of Governor João Azevêdo, who has been attracting airlines to our state. We are celebrating these results and monitoring operations to ensure that they remain permanent”.
